A \u2018daring\u2019and \u2018refreshing\u2019 horror film<\/a> with a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> is streaming right now on Shudder via Amazon Prime Video<\/a>.<\/p>\n Released in 2017, One Cut of the Dead has been dubbed an essential horror for both zombie<\/a> and found footage<\/a> fans alike.<\/p>\n Directed by Shinichirou Ueda, it follows hack director Higurashi (Takayuki Hamatsu) and his crew as they travel to a WWII facility to shoot a low-budget zombie film.<\/p>\n However, they soon find themselves fighting for their lives when they\u2019re attacked by real zombies.<\/p>\n It was made for just \u00a53 million (\u00a315,114), and made a whopping \u00a53.12 billion (\u00a315.7M) in Japan,making box office history by earning over 1,000 times its budget<\/p>\n One Cut of the Dead received widespread critical acclaim, being named the best found footage film ever made by Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \t\t It is the only found footage film on the site to ever receive a 100% score.<\/p>\n On the site, the critics\u2019 consensus reads: \u2018Brainy and bloody in equal measure, One Cut of the Dead reanimates the moribund zombie genre with a refreshing blend of formal daring and clever satire.\u2019<\/p>\n In their review, Austin Chronicle<\/a> said: \u2018One Cut of the Dead isn\u2019t just charming.
