The UK’s “best” broadband provider has just launched a new deal offering new customers up to \u00a3100 cashback when they make the switch. Customers who sign up for selected Plusnet fibre packages<\/a> can snag a Reward Card loaded up with free money which can be spent anywhere that accepts Mastercard.<\/p>\n

Plusnet has ramped up its Reward Card offer with a new round of deals which are now live until August 27, giving households looking for a new broadband provider two weeks to decide. The biggest \u00a3100 cashback deal comes with the Full Fibre 900 package<\/a> which offers Plusnet’s “fastest ever speed”, although this is also the most expensive broadband package at \u00a336.99 per month.<\/p>\n

Customers can also get their hands on a \u00a375 Reward Card when they sign up for the “ultrafast” Full Fibre 500 package<\/a> ideal for households that love streaming and gaming, which is priced at \u00a331.99 per month. And the cheapest broadband package from Plusnet with a Reward Card offer attached is the Full Fibre 145 package<\/a> for \u00a326.99 per month, which comes with \u00a365 cashback.<\/p>\n

However, new customers should be aware that not all of Plusnet’s broadband packages come with a Reward Card, including its cheapest Full Fibre 74 package<\/a> which costs \u00a325.99 per month. The Reward Card offers are also subject to availability, so households will need to put their postcode into the Plusnet website to check what’s on offer where they live.<\/p>\n

For those that do bag a Reward Card, they will need to claim and activate it using instructions provided via email after they buy their broadband. In addition, anyone signing up for a package should note that Plusnet will increase the price of all broadband packages by \u00a34 per month on March 31 next year and again on the same date in 2027, which will affect all customers as packages are only available on a 24-month contract.<\/p>\n

Just last month<\/a>, a new survey crowned Plusnet as the number one choice when it comes to internet providers in the UK, beating giants Sky and Virgin to the title. The Telegraph<\/a> asked more than 1,000 readers who they thought the best broadband provider was, and Plusnet was voted top in the majority of categories including Best Buy, Best Value and Best Support.<\/p>\n

The publication’s verdict was: “Plusnet is a great all-rounder. Its tariffs are among the cheapest you’ll find from the major providers, but that doesn’t mean cutting corners on important areas such as customer service.”<\/p>\n

By comparison, the likes of Vodafone and TalkTalk failed to make the cut according to Telegraph readers, while Virgin Media<\/a> scored well for speed but poorly for value and customer service, making Plusnet stand out as an all-rounder. However, it didn’t win in every category, with Sky scooping the award<\/a> for best broadband speed while EE was named number one<\/a> as the most reliable provider.<\/p>\n

Plusnet also takes the title as the UK’s best broadband provider according to Uswitch<\/a>, who crowned the company as National Broadband Provider of the year. The comparison experts said that Plusnet “sets the standard with reliable speeds, great value, and customer service that goes the extra mile”.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, analysis from Which? saw Plusnet ranked as the second best internet service provider in the UK behind Zen Internet<\/a>. As a Which? Recommended Provider, it was described as “the cream of the crop” with an overall customer satisfaction score of 73%, narrowly beating Utility Warehouse<\/a> which came in third place.<\/p>\n

However, Plusnet has a low rating of 1.9 out of five stars on Trustpilot<\/a> based on more than 11,000 reviews from its customers. While this score may be enough to put some households off making the switch, it’s worth noting that it is slightly higher than Sky, Virgin Media, BT and EE, all of which have an average rating of just 1.3 out of five, while Zen Internet and Vodafone fare best with scores of 4.5 and 4.6 respectively.<\/p>\n
