Deale International is voluntarily recalling one model of its Altafit smartwatches due to a possible burn and fire hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.<\/a><\/p>\n

Deale International LLC, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, issued the recall for the Altafit af28 smartwatch, sold online at HSN.com from March through May 2025, according to the notice.<\/p>\n

The company initiated the recall due to the potential that the smartwatch\u2019s wireless charging pad can overheat and ignite, posing a serious risk of burns and fire, the commission said.<\/p>\n

The use of the charging pad poses a potential risk of skin injuries such as burns and blisters, as well as property damage, the notice said.<\/p>\n

The Altafit af28 smartwatch was sold in gold and silver tones and came with two bands along with a wireless charging pad and cable. \u201cALTAFIT FCC ID 2BHG8-AF28\u201d is printed on the back of the watch.<\/p>\n

The product label recommends users immediately unplug the charging pad and stop charging the smartwatch to prevent injury or fire.<\/p>\n

The recall affects about 2,900 units. Deale International has received 39 reports of smartwatches melting, burning, or catching fire while charging, including six reports of burns to hands and property damage.<\/p>\n

Consumers should contact Deale International for a free replacement. They will be asked to cut the unplugged charging pad\u2019s power cable and email a photo of the damaged pad to altafitrecall@thedeale.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n
