Aston Villa have been keeping an eye on Marco Asensio’s situation as he is yet to leave Paris Saint-Germain<\/p>\n

Marco Asensio is yet to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, months after his loan spell at Aston Villa came to an end.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Spaniard<\/a> joined Villa at the start of February on a straight loan deal from the French giants, and started well under Unai Emery.<\/a><\/p>\n

Asensio bagged eight goals in the space of seven games in all competitions, but then went without a goal in the next and final 11 matches he played for the club.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the latest on Asensio\u2019s future\u2026<\/p>\n

Villa keen on signing Asensio<\/strong><\/p>\n

Asensio has always been in Villa\u2019s thoughts since the end of last season, but they have had very limited flexibility in their transfer budget or wage bill.<\/p>\n

Sales will likely be required for Villa to loosen their pursestrings and add more depth to their squad in this month, especially following the addition of Evann Guessand.<\/p>\n

Paying Asensio\u2019s wages at the age of 29 would be a risk, but if Villa were to pursue a move, it would be with the knowledge that they could afford to bring him back.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph<\/a> claim that Villa are exploring the conditions of a possible permanent or loan deal to sign the Spaniard again.<\/p>\n

Villa\u2019s president of football operations Monchi spoke about the possibility of signing Asensio to Spanish podcast El Pelotazo back in June.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarco Asensio hasn\u2019t lost his talent – he\u2019s given us a lot, and he\u2019s in our best interest,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle ahead of the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 more.<\/p>\n

Fenerbahce agreed PSG deal<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the start of last month, it was reported that Fenerbah\u00e7e and PSG agreed on a deal for the permanent transfer of Asensio.<\/p>\n

Well-connected Turkish football journalist Ya\u011f\u0131z Sabuncuo\u011flu<\/a> reported that Fenerbah\u00e7e had taken a significant step toward signing Asensio at the time.<\/p>\n

After reaching an agreement with PSG, Jos\u00e9 Mourinho\u2019s side then attempted to finalise personal terms with the player.<\/p>\n

Asensio was said to have rejected an annual salary offer of \u20ac9 million, but negotiations were ongoing.<\/p>\n

However, since then, there has been no breakthrough in negotiations, which means his future is still uncertain.<\/p>\n
