{"id":339608,"date":"2025-08-12T22:48:18","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T22:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/339608\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T22:48:18","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T22:48:18","slug":"arrests-and-vehicle-seizures-during-crackdown-on-robberies-in-solihull","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/339608\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrests and vehicle seizures during crackdown on robberies in Solihull"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\tA TOTAL of 27 vehicles have been recovered and nine people arrested in a crackdown on robberies across Solihull.<\/p>\n<p>The Solihull Neighbourhood Team launched Operation Luxray, which is targeting the increase in motorcycle and pedal cycle robberies across the borough.\n<\/p>\n<p>Police carried out a number of warrants across Chelmsley Wood and Birmingham on August 8 and carried out intensive action through until Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>They were\u00a0supported by Guardian Taskforce, traffic officers, and National Police Air Service (NPAS).<\/p>\n<p>Across the three days, nine arrests were made for multiple offences including possession of drugs with intent to supply, dangerous driving, armed robbery, and possession of an offensive weapon.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 27 vehicles were seized across the three days which included three high-powered e-bikes, off-road bikes, quad bikes, stolen cars and vans, along with multiple mopeds.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple weapons including knives, machetes, and screwdrivers were seized, along with cash and mobile phones believed to be used in crime.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Inspector Andy Bridgewater, from Solihull Police, said: \u201cThe warrants and all-out action over the weekend show that we will not accept this offence taking place, and will work to bring those responsible before the courts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\t\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#13; A TOTAL of 27 vehicles have been recovered and nine people arrested in a crackdown on robberies&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":339609,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[7820],"tags":[855,748,393,4884,16,15],"class_list":{"0":"post-339608","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-birmingham","8":"tag-birmingham","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@uk\/115018236277370633","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/339608","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=339608"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/339608\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/339609"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=339608"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=339608"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=339608"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
