The doc comes with Soho \u201cat a crossroads,\u201d its team said, with rising rents, the rapid closure of iconic institutions and changes brought about by commercialisation placing its reputation as the bohemian capital of London under threat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThis is Soho is directed by Ahmed Peerbux (Grenfell:\u00a0Uncovered) and fully financed by media entrepreneur Rob Pickles, with Sphere Abacus selling worldwide. Producers are <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/dare-pictures\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dare-pictures\" data-tag=\"dare-pictures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dare Pictures<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/bad-tattoo\/\" id=\"auto-tag_bad-tattoo\" data-tag=\"bad-tattoo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bad Tattoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe film will be showcased at MIPCOM 2025 and a theatrical rollout and festival circuit are planned for later this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDare Pictures boss Derren Lawford said the feature is \u201cnot a film about the Soho you think you know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cWith Ahmed Peerbux\u2019s intimate, insightful and incisive direction and Stephen Fry\u2019s unmistakable voice, we\u2019re capturing the essence of a wonderful mix of communities in a way which feels both local and universal,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s the inside and definitive story of a place which for decades has welcomed people from all walks of life from all over the world and that\u2019s something well worth celebrating.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPeerbux said: \u201cSoho has always punched above its postcode \u2014 this square mile has significantly shaped the world\u2019s cultural imagination.
