Oldman starred in several productions at the theatre in the early 1980s, including Christopher Marlowe\u2019s The Massacre at Paris and Der Rosenkavalier.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Glasgow\u2019s own David Hayman, currently starring as Siobhan Finneran\u2019s aging father in thrilling I<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldscotland.com\/topics\/television\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TV<\/a> drama Protection, is a long-time fan of the Citizens and has appeared at the venue many times. He recently visited the building during renovation works, calling it \u201cthe most beautiful theatre\u201d.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.largsandmillportnews.com\/local-news\/largs-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Largs<\/a>-born actor Daniela Nardini, now working as a psychotherapist in Glasgow, got her big break in 90s show This Life about a group of insufferable young lawyers trying to reach the top while negotiating love, drugs and excess. He is pictured with Grant Smeaton and Ross Stenhouse, who went on to set up Hopscotch Theatre Co.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"Constance Cummings\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Constance Cummings (Image: Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Hollywood and West End star Constance Cummings was known for her appearances in the likes of Long Day&#8217;s Journey into Night and Who\u2019s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? When she appeared on the Glasgow stage, in The Milk Train Doesn&#8217;t Stop Here Anymore, in September 1969.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"Caroline Paterson\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Caroline Paterson (Image: Angela Catlin\/Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Soap star Caroline Paterson, best known for playing troubled Ruth Fowler in EastEnders in the 90s,\u00a0directed plays at the Citizens in the early 2000s.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"Rupert Everett\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Rupert Everett (Image: Newsquest)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Other big names appearing at the Gorbals venue include Wolf Hall\u2019s Mark Rylance; and a young Albert Finney (Henry IV) in 1963.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Harry Potter and Die Hard star Alan Rickman (Fear and Misery of the Third Reich) was at the venue in 1980; and The Musketeers and My Best Friend\u2019s Wedding actor Rupert Everett,\u00a0performed several times at the Citizens, notably in The Vortex, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Heartbreak House.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Which famous face did you see at the Citizens Theatre?
