{"id":341069,"date":"2025-08-13T11:55:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T11:55:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/341069\/"},"modified":"2025-08-13T11:55:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T11:55:14","slug":"oxford-ionics-delivers-full-stack-quantum-computer-to-nqcc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/341069\/","title":{"rendered":"Oxford Ionics delivers full stack quantum computer to NQCC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oxford Ionics has provided a full stack quantum computer to the UK\u2019s National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) as it tests and develops commercial use cases.<\/p>\n<p>The Oxford-based computing firm has in partnership with NQCC and Innovate UK launched a testbed programme to explore how quantum computers can provide commercial returns.<\/p>\n<p>The new quantum computer, called QUARTET, has been installed in NQCC\u2019s data centre in Harwell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe successful installation of the QUARTET trapped-ion quantum computer by Oxford Ionics marks a pivotal step forwards the NQCC\u2019s quantum computing testbeds initiative,\u201d said Dr. Michael Cuthbert, director of the NQCC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe proprietary architecture of the system is designed to tackle the scalability challenges of quantum computing.
