{"id":341209,"date":"2025-08-13T13:09:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T13:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/341209\/"},"modified":"2025-08-13T13:09:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T13:09:13","slug":"america-have-a-teenager-on-the-wta-set-for-a-great-future-according-to-two-time-grand-slam-champion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/341209\/","title":{"rendered":"America have a teenager on the WTA set for a &#8216;great future&#8217;, according to two-time Grand Slam champion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>American players have been enjoying themselves on the court in recent times, and that trend has continued into the Cincinnati Open.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/ben-shelton-says-what-happened-at-the-canadian-open-which-excited-him-even-more-than-winning-the-title\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ben Shelton loved his Canadian Open performances<\/a>, which resulted in the American winning a maiden ATP Masters 1000 title.<\/p>\n<p>His compatriot Taylor Fritz reached the semifinals in Toronto, while both players are looking strong once more at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/atp-cincinnati-open-2025-who-is-playing-how-to-watch-and-what-is-the-prize-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cincinnati Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Shelton and Fritz also occupy places within the ATP top 10, although they are currently being overshadowed by their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTA<\/a> counterparts.<\/p>\n<p>Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys and Amanda Anisimova are all within the WTA top 10 as Cincinnati progresses.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2219067305-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"French Open Tennis Tournament. I feel like she\u2019s [going to have] a great future ahead of her. I\u2019m really happy I found my way through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comments come following Krejcikova\u2019s win over Jovic at the Cincinnati Open, after which she told her: \u201cGood match.
