Everton\u2019s 2025\/26 Premier League campaign is finally set to get underway on Monday. <\/strong><\/p>\n Up against newly promoted Leeds United at Elland Road, it is no doubt going to be a tough task to get a victory, with the atmosphere set to be electric.<\/p>\n Leeds also had a solid pre-season<\/a>, something that will worry David Moyes<\/a> coming into the match.<\/p>\n However, the Scotsman will be hoping many of his new signings will be able to make an impact. Particularly, Jack Grealish, who was signed by Everton<\/a> on Tuesday on loan.<\/p>\n In front of the Sky Sports cameras, a win on the opening game week could do wonders for the Toffees.\u00a0<\/p>\n Going into the new Premier League<\/a> season, there remains some pessimism among the Hill Dickinson Stadium<\/a> faithful despite their new signings.<\/p>\n Jarrad Branthwaite\u2019s recent injury at Everton<\/a> has only helped to dampen the mood.<\/p>\n Now, according to Opta<\/a> on 13 August, fans may be right to be cautious.\u00a0<\/p>\n The supercomputer believes Leeds have a 38.3 per cent chance of coming away with a victory, higher than Everton\u2019s<\/a> 33.9 per cent.\u00a0<\/p>\n The odds of a draw sit at 27.8 per cent, making it the least likely of the three scenarios.\u00a0<\/p>\n While Opta may be predicting a defeat for Everton on Monday, the Toffees do actually have a good recent record against the Yorkshire side.\u00a0<\/p>\n In their last five meetings, the Merseyside club are unbeaten, winning three of these games.\u00a0<\/p>\n Everton had traditionally struggled vs Leeds United<\/p>\n In fact, the last time Everton lost to Leeds was back in November 2020, in a 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Toffees\u2019 record at Elland Road is also impressive, only losing one of their last six visitors. <\/p>\n Therefore, if this trend is to continue, Moyes will have to ensure his side puts in a fantastic performance against the Peacocks.\u00a0<\/p>\n![\"Jack](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/imago1049600463-1024x683.jpg\")
