(Image: Wiktor Szymanowicz\/Future Publis)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">This week, teenagers across the country will be preparing to pick up their A-level results and find out if all of their hard work over the past two years has paid off.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A-Level results day 2025 takes place on Thursday, August 14, as schools across the nation open their doors to former students to discover how they did.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It&#8217;s a nerve-wracking experience for most, but there was the added pressure for the Royal Family who, as they are in the public eye, must open their envelopes with the world watching.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Although you&#8217;d expect that the best private education gives you the best grades, this hasn&#8217;t always been the case for the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/royal-family\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Royal family<\/a>, as they have a real mixed bag of exam results under their belts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">While the late Queen spent her former days learning the ropes of the monarchy, her children had a more normalised experience of education, with all the younger royals studying for their A levels, and almost all going on to university.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Here&#8217;s how some of the Royal family did in their A-level exams.<\/p>\n<p>Prince William<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1_Picture-by-Harry-Page-The-Daily-Mirror.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Prince William on his graduation day(Image: Daily Mirror)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Prince of Wales was educated at independent schools and attended the well-known Eton College in 1995.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">By 2000, he&#8217;d picked up fairly mixed results at A level with an A in geography, a B in art and a C in biology.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Straight out of Eton, William went on a gap year, where he took part in army training in Belize and visited Africa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The following year, William went on to study History of Art at St Andrews University in Scotland, to then later change course to geography.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He achieved an upper second class honours in 2005.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">St Andrews University was where he met his future wife, Catherine Middleton.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Harry<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/2_Prince-Harry-at-Eton-1998.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Prince Harry on his first day at Eton college(Image: Mirrorpix)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Slightly less academic than his big brother, Harry achieved two passes with a B in art and a D in geography back in 2003.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">On the announcement, his father said in a statement on the royal website: &#8220;I am very proud of Harry. He has worked hard for these examinations and I am very pleased with today\u2019s results.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Similarly to his brother, he studied at Eton college, but decided against university.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Duke of Sussex excelled in sports and instead pursued a successful career in the army.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Yet before this, Harry took on a gap year where he travelled across the country to Australia, Africa and Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine Middleton<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_The-Middleton-Family-Release-Images-Of-Kate-Middleton.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Catherine and William as new graduates(Image: Clarence House via GettyImages)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Princess of Wales was enrolled at an independent boarding school in Wiltshire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She achieved higher A level grades than Prince William, with As in maths and art, and a B in English.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">However she didn&#8217;t go straight off to university, as Catherine also took a year out for travelling, however her dates didn&#8217;t overlap with William.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">In 2003 she attended St Andrews University and graduated in the same year as her future husband, with a 2:1 in History of Art.<\/p>\n<p>Meghan Markle<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1_The-Duke-and-Duchess-of-Sussex-first-official-visit-to-Sussex.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Meghan studied theatre at university before her acting career(Image: PA)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">With Meghan being American, she didn&#8217;t take any A levels due to the difference in education system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Duchess of Sussex grew up in Hollywood and was privately educated, where she then studied secondary education at Immaculate Heart High School.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She performed in a number of theatre productions at the school before achieving a bachelors degree in 2003.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She studied Theatre and International Studies at the Northwestern University School of Communication.<\/p>\n<p>Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_Coronation-Festival.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>The princesses both went on to university(Image: PA)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Eugenie could be considered to be the smartest young royal in terms of grades, because she achieved two As in art and English Literature, and a B in history of art.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She beat her older sister Beatrice, who received an A in drama and Bs in history and film studies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Beatrice went on to get a 2:1 from Goldsmith&#8217;s in History of Ideas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">And Eugenie studied English Literature, History of Art and Politics at Newcastle and graduated at the end of her three-year course in 2012 with a 2:1.<\/p>\n<p>King Charles<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_Prince-Charles-1965-Montrose.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Prince Charles captured in 1965 where he was with Gordonstoun school orchestra playing trumpet in charity concert(Image: Daily Record)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">As the father of Harry and William, he also did well in his A level exams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">King Charles studied at Gordonstoun school, which his also where his father, the Duke of Edinburgh was educated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He left with five O-levels (GCSEs) and two A levels &#8211; a B in history and a C in French.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Prince of Wales then went on to Cambridge University where he achieved a 2:2 degree in History.<\/p>\n<p>Lady Louise Windsor<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_Royal-Windsor-Horse-Show.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Lady Louise Windsor is currently studying at university after getting her A Level results in 2022 (Image: PA)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">More recently, Lady Louise Windsor, who is the youngest granddaughter of the late Queen, received her A level results in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She studied English, history, politics and drama.
