{"id":343264,"date":"2025-08-14T07:19:16","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T07:19:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/343264\/"},"modified":"2025-08-14T07:19:16","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T07:19:16","slug":"swansea-city-extend-contracts-of-josh-tymon-and-josh-key","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/343264\/","title":{"rendered":"Swansea City extend contracts of Josh Tymon and Josh Key"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Tymon has made 91 appearances, scoring twice, since joining Swansea from Stoke for about \u00a32m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Key has scored three times in 79 appearances having arrived from Exeter City, with Swansea paying an undisclosed compensation fee for his services which was decided by tribunal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Tymon and Key are currently the first-choice options on either side of Swansea&#8217;s defence, with academy product Sam Parker providing back-up on the right and no obvious alternative on the left with less than three weeks remaining in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Montague was also asked about the future of homegrown winger Cameron Congreve, who is back at Swansea this season having impressed on loan at League Two Bromley last term.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Congreve, 21, sees his contract expire at the end of this campaign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We have had conversations with Cam&#8217;s agent and Cam himself about his future,&#8221; Montague said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;That&#8217;s an active source of discussion at the moment.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Tymon has made 91 appearances, scoring twice, since joining Swansea from Stoke for about \u00a32m.
