Federico Chiesa has suggested he is happy in his current surroundings amid speculation over his future at Liverpool. The 27-year-old was the only new arrival<\/a> ahead of the 2024\/25 Premier League<\/a> winning campaign.<\/p>\n

Liverpool<\/a> paid \u00a312.5m to Juventus for Chiesa<\/a> but without a full pre-season under his belt he struggled to acclimatise to the demands of English football. By the end of last season the winger had made only 14 appearances and scored just twice, which has resulted in him being linked with a return to Italy this summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Chiesa remains a part of Arne Slot’s squad. On Wednesday he was part of the group training<\/a> in preparation for Friday night’s Premier League curtain-raiser against Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Afterwards he took to Instagram with a post showing off pictures of his beaming smile during the action the AXA Training Centre. The caption included no words, only the pinched fingers and smiling face emojis.<\/p>\n

The post has almost 220,000 likes on the social media platform, including support from Reds teammates Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, Conor Bradley, Virgil van Dijk, Kostas Tsimikas, Jayden Danns, and Hugo Ekitike.<\/p>\n

Luis Diaz and Tyler Morton – two players who have actually departed Anfield<\/a> this summer – also liked Chiesa’s entry, as did his father Enrico Chiesa and brother Lorenzo Chiesa.<\/p>\n

Though Chiesa returned for pre-season on Merseyside and featured against Preston North End in July a ‘minor injury’ kept him from taking part in the tour of the Far East<\/a>. Slot included the Italian in the squad again for Liverpool’s Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend, though he did not enter the field of play.<\/p>\n

And general talk of attacking exits has died down in the aftermath of that result as captain Van Dijk placed emphasis further signings rather than sales<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle ahead of the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 more.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t know [if the squad is short],” Van Dijk said. “We will find out. What I think is that Hugo made an impression on and off the ball since he came in, great finish by the way.<\/p>\n

“Everything that happened with Diogo [Jota], tragic. Lucho and Darwin [Nunez] leaving. Those are three senior attackers.<\/p>\n

“I fully trust the club to do the right thing, what they think is good for the club.<\/p>\n

“We just lost Darwin, he went to Saudi and we lost Lucho, obviously he went to Bayern. I think there’s always room for an attacker in order to strengthen us so let’s see what the window brings in terms of the balance of the team.”<\/p>\n
