Princess Kate could be set for a landmark public appearance next week.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales is the Patron of the English Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League.<\/p>\n

The Women’s Rugby World Cup kicks off on Friday, August 22nd and England will be hosting the tournament.<\/p>\n

As host nation, England will play in the first match of the competition and will take on the USA in the curtain raiser.<\/p>\n

Princess Kate may choose to attend the match due to its importance despite the royal currently spending time on holiday with her family.<\/p>\n

Prince William is the Patron of Welsh Rugby and may decide to attend the second game of the tournament, which will take place between Scotland and Wales.<\/p>\n

Princess Anne could also opt to attend that match as the Patron og Scottish Rugby, with the royal often seen supporting Scotland’s rugby teams.<\/p>\n

In March, Prince William and Princess Kate made a joint public appearance at the Six Nations match between England and Wales.<\/p>\n

England defeated Wales 68-14 in the match as the Prince and Princess of Wales watched on.<\/p>\n

Before the match, the royal couple met injured players supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.<\/p>\n

This meeting took place in the Sir Tasker Watkins Suite, a dedicated space at the Stadium for injured players and their families.<\/p>\n

The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust was established in 1972 with various educational, social and sporting objectives.<\/p>\n

Prince William serves as Patron of this important organisation.<\/p>\n

While the charity has multiple aims, its principal focus has always been supporting players and their families who have been severely injured whilst playing rugby in Wales.<\/p>\n

The charity ensures all injured players are invited to every Wales home game.<\/p>\n

Each year, the Welsh Rugby Union hosts a special “Family Day” event.<\/p>\n
