\n\tMGM+<\/a> has shared the first-look image from the upcoming drama series \u201cRobin Hood<\/a>,\u201d debuting later this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe shot features Sean Bean<\/a> (\u201cGame of Thrones,\u201d \u201cThe Lord of the Rings\u201d) as the Sheriff of Nottingham alongside Connie Nielsen<\/a> (\u201cGladiator,\u201d \u201cWonder Woman\u201d) as Eleanor of Aquitaine \u2013 offering \u201ca glimpse at the tense rivalries and high-stakes power struggles at the heart of this reimagined take on the legendary tale,\u201d according to a release.<\/p>\n

\n\tMGM+ describes the show as a \u201csmart, sweeping, romantic adventure that brings historical authenticity, psychological depth, and a heightened focus on the relationship between Rob and Marian.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe logline for \u201cRobin Hood\u201d says, \u201cFollowing the Norman invasion of England, Rob \u2013 a Saxon forester\u2019s son \u2013 and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord \u2013 fall in love and work together to fight for justice and freedom. As Rob rises as the leader of a band of rebel outlaws, Marian infiltrates the power at court, as both work together to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the land.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tJack Patten (\u201cWar Machine\u201d) plays Rob and Lauren McQueen (\u201cMasters of the Air\u201d) is Marian.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series also stars Lydia Peckham (\u201cKingdom of the Planet of the Apes\u201d), Steven Waddington (\u201cThe Trap\u201d), Marcus Fraser (\u201cFoundation\u201d), Angus Castle-Doughty (\u201cShadow and Bone\u201d) and Henry Rowley.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe showrunner is John Glenn (\u201cSEAL Team\u201d) and the director is Jonathan English (\u201cLibrarians: The Next Chapter\u201d). Glenn and English are writers and executive producers on the series.<\/p>\n

\n\tTodd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures executive produces, with Carly Elter and Nicole Bryant of Hidden Pictures overseeing the project for the company.<\/p>\n
