{"id":343512,"date":"2025-08-14T09:34:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T09:34:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/343512\/"},"modified":"2025-08-14T09:34:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T09:34:17","slug":"glasgow-hotel-unveils-revamped-meeting-and-event-spaces-as-final-phase-of-15m-refurb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/343512\/","title":{"rendered":"Glasgow hotel unveils revamped meeting and event spaces as final phase of \u00a315m refurb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-875256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ME_Lobby-min.png\" alt=\"Radisson Blu Glasgow new event space\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"  \/>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RADISSON Blu Glasgow has unveiled 12 refurbished meeting and event spaces as the final stage of a \u00a315 million project that started in 2023.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The investment project saw the complete refurbishment of the hotel\u2019s 247 boutique-style rooms, a new entrance, and the installation of \u2018high-spec and modernised\u2019 lifts.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This final phase introduced meeting and event spaces, complete with bespoke d\u00e9cor and tailored AV support. The hotel said it is excited to offer a \u2018refined and tailored\u2019 experience for business and event guests, ranging from board meetings and team building sessions, to award ceremonies and gala dinners.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the venue\u2019s 12 event spaces, Radisson Blu Glasgow has the capacity to host up to 550 guests for dinners and 800 delegates for conferences in the ballroom. Nine smaller meeting rooms allow for team building sessions and training for smaller groups. Guests can also make use of two new function break-out bars.\n<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-875267 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ME_Room1_Diagonal-min.png\" alt=\"Radisson Blu Glasgow new meeting space\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"  data- style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 800px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 800\/533;\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Radisson Blu Glasgow partnered with Glasgow designer, Timorous Beasties, to create bespoke wallpaper designs for the hotel, described as bringing an \u2018authentic sense of place\u2019 to its event spaces and complementing the brand\u2019s nature-inspired \u2018Matzu Tree\u2019 print that runs throughout the guest rooms. The floral \u2018Trailing Botanic\u2019 design features on the pillars in the foyer, while the meeting rooms and corridors are adorned in the \u2018Flight Ombre\u2019 design, recoloured in warm grey tones to match the hotel\u2019s soft colour palette in the conference areas.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hina Rubbani-Mills, general manager of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radissonhotels.com\/en-us\/hotels\/radisson-blu-glasgow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Radisson Blu Glasgow<\/a>, said, \u201cAs we\u2019ve been on this journey for the hotel to improve our guest experiences, we\u2019ve carefully planned out our meetings and events spaces to ensure that we can meet and exceed the needs for all gatherings small and large.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paul Simmons, co-director at Timorous Beasties, added, \u201c\u2018The starting point of the designs was drawing. Drawing has always been one of our main preoccupations, we feel it\u2019s a definite part of our DNA. I also looked at old engravings and what we call intaglio prints of yesteryear, and the qualities that they bring.
