Cooper, 33, is without a club following his exit from CSKA Sofia earlier this summer. He has been weighing up his options over recent times.<\/p>\n

In this latest update regarding his situation by The Star<\/a>, the Owls are poised to snap him up. He is expected to undergo a medical soon if all goes well.<\/p>\n

Speaking after their Carabao Cup win over Bolton Wanderers<\/a> on penalties on Wednesday night, their boss Henrik Pedersen told their official club website<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019m very, very proud. The Hull-born man rose up through Hull City<\/a>\u2019s academy ranks before loan spells away at Carlisle United<\/a>, Huddersfield Town<\/a> and Chesterfield<\/a>. He joined the latter permanently for a year before Leeds United<\/a> came calling.<\/p>\n

Cooper went on to make 284 appearances in all competitions for the Whites during his days at Elland Road and chipped in with 11 goals. He then left last year and has since been playing his football in Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia.<\/p>\n
