An Oasis fan<\/a> died in his hotel room in Edinburgh hours before he was due to attend the gig at Murrayfield.<\/p>\n Italian national<\/a> Alessandro Croce, 30, passed away after collapsing at his accommodation on Saturday, August 9. Reports from Italy suggest that he had been getting ready to attend the event when he suddenly took ill.<\/p>\n Desperate attempts were made to resuscitate him by friends and paramedics, however Alessandro sadly died at the scene. Tributes have since been paid to Alessandro, a dentist and keen basketball player from Teramo in the Abruzzo region, who travelled to Scotland to celebrate the Oasis reunion<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mayor of Teramo Gianguido D’Alberto paid tribute, said: “The city of Teramo <\/a>is united in grief over the loss of Alessandro Croce. I offer the Croce family the condolences and closeness of the municipal administration and the whole community in this difficult time.”<\/p>\n Camillo D’Angelo, president of the province<\/a> of Teramo, said: “The president, the federal council and all the administration hold close with immense affection the headmistress of the Zoli institute in Atri, Paola Angeloni, and her family for the tragic loss of their beloved son, Alessandro<\/a>.”<\/p>\n The mayor of Atri<\/a>, Piergiorgio Ferretti, said: “On behalf of myself and the municipal administration I offer my deepest condolences, expressing the most affectionate closeness to professor Paola Angeloni, esteemed professional, and to all her family”.<\/p>\n A statement from Basketball Teramo<\/a> reads: “The entire Basketball Teramo community is shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved athlete Alessandro at the age of 30.<\/p>\n “Alessandro was not only a pillar of our team, but an integral part of our history <\/a>and the heart of our association.<\/p>\n “Growing up as a player within our ranks, he played for our team <\/a>for six seasons and was our first captain in 2012 and 2013.
