{"id":344029,"date":"2025-08-14T14:08:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T14:08:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/344029\/"},"modified":"2025-08-14T14:08:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T14:08:20","slug":"full-cast-revealed-for-mary-page-marlowe-at-the-old-vic-with-a-strong-matilda-theme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/344029\/","title":{"rendered":"Full cast revealed for Mary Page Marlowe at the Old Vic \u2013 with a strong Matilda theme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/?attachment_id=1690570\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1690570 noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1690570\" title=\"matilda page marloe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/matilda-page-marloe.jpg\" alt=\"matilda page marloe\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\"  \/><\/a>Melanie La Barrie, Alisha Weir, Eleanor Worthington-Cox and Lauren Ward, Left and centre right, Roy J Baron, centre left, Shane O\u2019Connor and supplied by the venue, far right: Dan Wooller<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"252\">The Old Vic has announced the full cast and creative team for the UK premiere of Tracy Letts\u2019 play Mary Page Marlowe.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"252\">Directed by Artistic Director Matthew Warchus, the production runs from 23 September to 1 November, with press night on 8 October.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"254\" data-end=\"390\">The play, told across 90 minutes in 11 scenes, presents 70 years in the life of Mary Page Marlowe, portrayed by five different actors.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"392\" data-end=\"971\">Joining the previously announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/stage-names\/susan-sarandon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Susan Sarandon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/stage-names\/andrea-riseborough\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrea Riseborough<\/a> are Daniella Arthur-Kennedy as Lorna, Eden Epstein as Roberta Marlowe, Clare Hughes as Wendy Gilbert, Gilbert Kyem Jnr as Ben, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/stage-names\/melanie-la-barrie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Melanie La Barrie<\/a> as Nurse, Rosy McEwen as Mary Page Marlowe, Kingsley Morton as Connie, Hugh Quarshie as Andy, Ronan Raftery as Dan, Paul Thornley as Ray, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/stage-names\/lauren-ward\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lauren Ward<\/a> as Shrink, Noah Weatherby as Ed Marlowe, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/stage-names\/alisha-weir\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alisha Weir<\/a> as Mary Page Marlowe, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsonstage.com\/stage-names\/eleanor-worthington-cox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eleanor Worthington-Cox<\/a> as Mary Page Marlowe. The role of Louis will be shared by Felix Anderson, Griffin Ashton and Dexter Pulling.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"392\" data-end=\"971\">As a fun connection \u2013 Ward, La Barrie and Worthington-Cox were all in the original Matilda\u00a0West End production (directed by Warchus), with Riseborough, Ashton and Weir also starring in the film adaptation of said musical, once more directed by Warchus. Ashton has also appeared in the stage show.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1416\">The creative team includes set and costume design by Rob Howell, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker, casting by Jim Carnahan and Sam Stevenson, children\u2019s casting by Amy Beadel, dialect coaching by Penny Dyer, and voice work by Charlie Hughes D\u2019Aeth.
