The Highgrove estate<\/a> is selling a limited-edition King Charles<\/a> teddy bear for \u00a3269, it has been revealed. Unveiling a host of new products, the Gloucestershire estate is also selling a \u00a32,490 Burberry coat.<\/p>\n

The bear, which is being produced in England by Merrythought, is made “from the finest silver-coloured mohair plush combined with soft cotton velvet for a luxurious feel” and is said to be a tribute to the monarch’s childhood toy collection.<\/p>\n

King Charles’ teddy bear’s left paw features<\/a> his official royal cypher embroidered in gold thread – along with an authentic Royal Victorian Order Sash and a replica of the Order of the Garter Star. It is presented to fans in a luxury gift box.<\/p>\n

With only 1,948 available to customers, it is expected to be sought-after collector’s item.<\/p>\n

On Highgrove\u2019s website, it is noted that the bear is “strictly intended for adult collectors and is not a toy’.<\/p>\n

Writing in his bombshell memoir, the King’s youngest son Prince Harry<\/a> recalled his father having a teddy bear as a child.<\/p>\n

Recalling how his father used to have a teddy bear to help him through some difficult times as a child, he wrote: “Teddy went everywhere with Pa. It was a pitiful object, with broken arms and dangly threads, holes patched up here and there. It looked, I imagined, like Pa might have after the bullies had finished with him. Teddy expressed eloquently, better than Pa ever could, the essential loneliness of his childhood.”<\/p>\n

Harry also wrote about Highgrove House, sharing the nickname of the basement there – ‘Club H’.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old, who now resides in California with Meghan Markle<\/a> and their children, wrote: “Club H was the perfect hideout for a teenager, but especially this teenager. When I wanted peace, Club H provided.<\/p>\n
