(Image: Getty Images)<\/p>\nPrincess Kate has been playing peacemaker between the two brothers for years, and it sounds like she may have had enough with a new royal stepping in to take on the role, says a royal biographer<\/p>\n

Princess Kate has been referred to as a peacemaker when it comes to estranged brothers Prince William<\/a> and Prince Harry<\/a>, but now it looks like their cousin Princess Eugenie<\/a> has stepped into that role, according to royal biographer Andrew Lownie<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mr. Lownie has been researching the Duke and Duchess of York for his new book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York<\/a>, and it would make sense that their youngest daughter would come up in conversations.<\/p>\n According to Lownie, Kate<\/a> has disengaged herself from the ongoing family feud which leaves room for a new peacemaker<\/a> while William and Harry continue to be estranged.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Prince Harry’s rift with William could cause awkward dilemma at upcoming royal event<\/a>READ MORE: Kate Middleton’s stern advice from Prince Phillip that she stands by to this day<\/a> Lownie said: \u201cI think, maybe, Eugenie wants to be the peacemaker between Harry and William, she has kept in with both of them, but Kate is above all that.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Lownie also says it\u2019d be a good idea for the subject of his new book – Prince Andrew – to work out some sort of plan with King Charles before William takes the throne, as his brother will be much easier on him.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cI think it\u2019s pretty clear that William will be less sympathetic to him than Charles, the question is, we don\u2019t know when William is going to the throne, it could be ten years, a lot can happen in ten years, so it depends on the timing.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThe advice I would give Andrew is to work out whatever your future is with Charles because it\u2019s going to be a better deal than what you get with William.\u201d<\/p>\n Kate has resigned as her role as peacemaker In terms of Charles, it appears he\u2019s always had a soft spot for his younger brother Andrew, who is 12 years his junior.<\/p>\n It’s been reported that they had a very sweet relationship growing up, and it seems to have lasted into adulthood. However, Lownie makes a good point that while Charles is supportive of his brother, there is a point where he needs to draw a line.<\/p>\n He explained: \u201cCharles feels responsibility to his brother and to do what his mother would have wanted, but at the same time, he is head of the monarchy, he\u2019s got to think of the reputational damage. So he\u2019s got to separate, as the Queen used to separate her own family feelings from what\u2019s required for the state of the nation and the future of the institution.\u201d<\/p>\n Now it\u2019s starting to make sense why Kate took a step back.
