Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has now agreed terms with Chelsea, it has been reported.<\/p>\n

Garnacho,<\/a> 21, was subject to a \u00a360million bid from Napoli in January, but United<\/a> decided to keep hold of him and, instead, allowed Marcus Rashford and Antony to join Jadon Sancho out on loan from Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the Argentina international impressed in patches, Ruben Amorim left him out of the starting XI for the Europa League<\/a> final against Tottenham in May, prompting a furious reaction from the player.<\/a><\/p>\n

He has since informed United of his desire to explore different opportunities this summer. Chelsea<\/a> have held a long-term interest in Garnacho and the Blues are moving closer to getting their man.<\/a><\/p>\n

According to journalist Ben Jacobs for GiveMeSport<\/a>, Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Garnacho. The ex-Atletico Madrid youth product is ‘waiting’ for a move to Stamford Bridge, as club-to-club talks are advanced.<\/p>\n

United want \u00a350m for Garnacho,<\/a> as they are of the opinion that he should not be sold for much less than the \u00a352m Chelsea got for Noni Madueke, who made the move to Arsenal last month.<\/p>\n

However, Chelsea are aware that United need to sell players, especially if they want to pull off a record-breaking deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba<\/a> before the end of the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Garnacho represents pure profit on United’s books<\/a> and Chelsea are hoping to agree a fee south of \u00a340m, having already spent in excess of \u00a3240m on no less than ten players, including Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato.<\/p>\n

Garnacho scored 11 goals and added 10 assists in 58 matches for the Reds last season and was one of their best players in Europe. Speaking about his future, following a lack of game-time in the Europa League final, Garnacho said: “Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don’t know.<\/p>\n

“The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and then see what happens afterwards.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, United head coach Amorim provided an update on Garnacho’s future during the club’s pre-season tour in the United States earlier this month. “I think Garnacho, you can understand and you can see, he’s talented, he’s a really talented boy,” Amorim said. “And sometimes things don’t work out.<\/p>\n

“You cannot explain specifically what it is.<\/p>\n

“But I have the feeling, I think it’s clear that Garnacho wants a different thing with a different leadership. And I can understand that. So I think it’s not a problem.<\/p>\n

“Sometimes you adapt to one guy, you have the connection. Other times, you want a new challenge. So, we try to make everything okay to all the parts. To the club, to the coach and to the players. So, it’s a natural thing in football.”<\/p>\n
