But the prospect of <strong>owning my own vineyard<\/strong> is a rather exciting one. And there just so happens to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/vineyards-near-london\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/vineyards-near-london\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_internal\">vineyard<\/a> up for sale (relatively) near <strong>London<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, my bank balance isn\u2019t quite so aligned with the vision, however, because it\u2019s on the market for<strong> \u00a31.5 million<\/strong> \u2013 and that\u2019s just ever-so slightly out of my budget. So, instead of snapping it up for myself, I\u2019m going to let you lucky lot know about it \u2013 because you never know who might be in the market for a shiny new vineyard, right?<\/p>\n<p>The vineyard in question can be found on the jaw-droppingly gorgeous<strong> Yew Tree Farm<\/strong>, about two hours from the <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/best-things-to-do-london\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/best-things-to-do-london\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\">capital city<\/a>. Having opened its doors in 1971; the<strong> Carr Taylor vineyard<\/strong> is the spot that produced the country\u2019s very first commercially-available, traditional-method sparkling wine. And so I (for one) am ever so grape-ful to them. Sadly, the business went into liquidation earlier this month, and so the vineyard is <strong>looking for a new owner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-309753 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/235124_111_IMG_22_0000.jpeg\" alt=\"The vines at Carr Taylor vineyard\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  \/>Credit: Rightmove <\/p>\n<p>The estate spans<strong> 21 acres<\/strong>, and is situated on gently-sloping, south-facing land, nestled within an<strong> Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty<\/strong>. 17 acres of the land are currently \u2018under vine\u2019, and the vineyard is planted with a wide variety of grapes, including Reichensteiner, Gutenborner, Sch\u00f6nburger, Ortega, Dornfelder, Bacchus, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. Blimey, what a mouthful.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a highly established vineyard and winery, having been the recipient of over <strong>150 awards<\/strong> throughout the years.
