Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce<\/a><\/strong> is known for being just a down-to-earth guy. So it must have been something of a shock when he came face-to-face with British royalty.<\/p>\n

After attending the London performance of Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/a> Eras tour, Jason was just relaxing with a beer, when Prince William<\/a><\/strong> walked in. ICYDK, Taylor\u2019s boyfriend is Jason\u2019s brother Travis Kelce<\/a><\/strong>, and Tay Tay had offered to introduce Jason to the royals.<\/p>\n

Apparently, William and Taylor have been friends since meeting at a charity event at Kensington Palace in 2013. Not only is William a friend, but he\u2019s also a fan, so he brought his two older children, Prince George<\/a>, 12, and Princess Charlotte<\/a>, 10, to Taylor\u2019s concert. When Taylor introduced the family to Jason, he immediately went into a panic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On August 13, Taylor popped into Travis and Jason\u2019s New Heights<\/a> podcast, where she giggled over Jason\u2019s first brush with royalty. \u201cWasn\u2019t this the week I got to watch Jason meet the royal family?\u201d she laughed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was like, \u2018What do I do with my beer?\u2019\u201d Travis added.<\/p>\n

\u201cI watched him have this moment with his beer where he was like, \u2018I want to take it, but I know that I probably should not take it,\u2019\u201d Taylor chuckled, miming Jason holding up his beer can. \u201cIt kind of was the most amazing \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like that you picked up on it,\u201d Jason agreed, \u201cbecause that was exactly what was going through my head.\u201d Well-known for his love of the suds, Jason and Travis co-own Garage Beer, a light beer brand based in Ohio.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike, if I don\u2019t have my beer, what do I do with my hand now?\u201d Swift joked, pretending to be Jason.<\/p>\n

The conversation then transitioned to whether it\u2019s disrespectful to be holding a beer when you meet royalty. \u201cIs it disrespectful<\/a>?\u201d Jason wondered.<\/p>\n

\u201cOr is it authentic by having the beer?\u201d Taylor responded. \u201cI would normally have the beer. Wouldn\u2019t they want me to be myself? I\u2019m watching you say that in your head.\u201d <\/p>\n

Perhaps it would have been different if Jason had been holding a glass of champagne? Actually, the late Queen Elizabeth<\/a> herself enjoyed a cocktail before dinner, so I don\u2019t think anyone was offended. <\/p>\n

At any rate, Taylor thought Jason\u2019s moment of awkwardness was hilarious. \u201cIt was fantastic,\u201d\u00a0she concluded.<\/p>\n
