\n West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Cox’s Lane shortly after 9.40pm last night (August 13)\u00a0to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, was rushed to hospital on blue lights after sustaining “serious injuries”.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Officers confirmed his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The car involved in the collision fled the scene, with officers now appealing for information that could help them identify the driver.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n In a statement, West Midlands Police said: “We were called to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Cox’s Lane, Cradley Heath at around 9.45pm last night (13 August).\n<\/p>\n
\n “A boy aged 13 was taken to hospital with injuries which thankfully are not life-changing.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The car left the scene following the collision and we’re carrying out enquiries to identify the driver.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Anyone with information should call us on 101 quoting log 5866 of 13 August.”\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service added: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Victoria Gardens in Cradley Heath at around 9.40pm and sent an ambulance to the scene.\n<\/p>\n
\n “On arrival, crews found a pedestrian, a teenage boy, with serious injuries.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Following treatment from medics, he was conveyed on blue lights to Russells Hall Hospital.”\n<\/p>\n
