Brussels \u2013 The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of joint control of Coin S.p.A. by Sagitta SGR S.p.A. (\u2018Sagitta\u2019) and MIA S.r.l., all Italian companies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The transaction\u00a0mainly concerns the retail sale of clothing, personal care, and household products.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the companies\u2019 limited market positions resulting from the proposed deal.\u00a0The EU examined the notified transaction under the simplified merger review procedure.<\/p>\n
