Everton take on Leeds United in the Premier League on Monday and will look to bring Jack Grealish up to speed ahead of the game.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Moyes<\/a> has pulled off something of a coup, with Jack Grealish<\/a> completing a loan move to Everton earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Grealish has taken number 18 at Everton<\/a> and will look to earn a permanent move after arriving from Manchester City.<\/p>\n

The former England international fell down Pep Guardiola\u2019s pecking order at City, and now wants to salvage his career at Everton.<\/p>\n

Paul Merson is backing Grealish to shine at Everton<\/a>, and his Toffees career could start at Leeds United on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Grealish may be lacking match sharpness, but Moyes will surely be tempted to throw him on the Everton bench against Leeds United.<\/p>\n

Everton travel to Elland Road to kick off the season and will aim for a positive start to the campaign against the newly-promoted Whites.<\/p>\n

Grealish could be a key part of that, but much will depend on how he fares in training ahead of the trip to West Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Grealish was spotted in Everton training on Thursday ahead of Monday\u2019s clash, and he was able to reunite with a face from his Aston Villa past.<\/p>\n

Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye<\/a> played with Grealish during the 2015-16 season as Aston Villa suffered relegation to the Championship.<\/p>\n

Gueye was then snapped up by Everton while Grealish remained at Villa Park, but the pair are now back together nearly 10 years on.<\/p>\n

Photos from Everton\u2019s latest training session at Finch Farm, as posted on Everton\u2019s official X account, show Grealish embracing Gueye as the pair gear up for the new season.<\/p>\n

Grealish looked delighted to be back with Gueye once more, and the duo will hope that their latest season together doesn\u2019t end in relegation this time.<\/p>\n

Everton suffer training blow<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grealish joining in training is a boost for Everton ahead of Monday\u2019s clash, and Moyes will have plenty to think about in terms of Grealish\u2019s role.<\/p>\n

Everton have suffered a significant blow, though, with the Daily Mail<\/a> reporting that Jarrad Branthwaite has picked up a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s stated that Branthwaite has picked up an injury in training, and Everton fear that he could be out until the end of September.<\/p>\n

Branthwaite suffered an injury against Southampton in May and is now set for another stint on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

That means Michael Keane could partner James Tarkowski in the heart of defence, though Jake O\u2019Brien is another option as Everton prepare for the trip to Leeds.<\/p>\n
