It is set to reopen in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>It will offer a range of amenities including a Village Health &amp; Wellness Club, a Pub &amp; Grill and an on-site Starbucks, as well as meeting and event space.<\/p>\n<p>The deal marks the first in Sheffield for Village and follows the recent acquisition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/boutiquehotelnews.com\/news\/hotel\/village-hotels-reading\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">former Crowne Plaza hotel at Caversham Bridge in Reading<\/a>, which is due to open in December this year.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Davis, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/boutiquehotelnews.com\/?s=Village+Hotels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Village Hotel Club<\/a>, said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to announce another new opening for Village which will see us bring our truly unique hotel and leisure club offering to Sheffield. The deal forms part of our ambitious growth plans, as we continue to invest in the guest experience and add more quality hotels for customers to enjoy across the UK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sale process was managed by <a href=\"https:\/\/boutiquehotelnews.com\/?s=Christie+%26+Co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Christie &amp; Co<\/a>. David Lee, regional director \u2013 hotels at Christie &amp; Co, said: \u201cWe are delighted to have supported Village Hotel Club in securing this exciting new site in Sheffield. Village\u2019s acquisition and planned investment in the property will undoubtedly breathe new life into the site, and we look forward to seeing it become a thriving destination for both leisure and business guests in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in its portfolio, Village is undertaking extension work at properties in Ashton and Solihull which will see an additional 48 rooms added.
