{"id":346260,"date":"2025-08-15T10:12:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T10:12:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/346260\/"},"modified":"2025-08-15T10:12:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T10:12:17","slug":"teach-and-study-in-the-united-states","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/346260\/","title":{"rendered":"Teach and Study in the United States!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Embassy in Tunisia is pleased to announce the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) scholarships for young educators to teach Arabic and study in the United States during the academic year 2026-2027.<\/p>\n<p>The FLTA is a nine-month, non-degree program for early career teachers to teach Arabic at colleges and universities in the United States while simultaneously taking courses in American culture. Teachers of English language, American Studies, media, and American\/English literature are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible applicants must:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Be Tunisians and reside in Tunisia at the time of application<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Possess the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor\u2019s degree by June 1, 2026 (License + 1st year of MA degree) with a good academic record<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Are an early career teacher (with no more than seven years of teaching experience)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Have a sincere interest in teaching Arabic language and culture to students in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Demonstrate fluency in English<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Demonstrate proficiency in speaking, writing, and teaching Modern Standard Arabic<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Able to work creatively and be self-reliant while being willing to work cooperatively as part of a team with faculty, staff, and students<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Flexible and have a willingness to learn<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Adaptable to living in rural or urban areas<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Clearly demonstrate maturity, dependability, integrity, and professionalism<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Not\u202fhold U.S. citizenship; dual citizens are not eligible for the program participation<\/p>\n<p>To apply, submit the online application <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.iie.org\/flta2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/apply.iie.org\/flta2026<\/a> no later than <strong>August 31, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Be sure to upload all required documents.
