Offensive graffiti has been sprayed on a guest house to be used for hospital workers in St Helens<\/a>. Merseyside Police are appealing for information following reports of criminal damage at the former site<\/a> of Parkview Guest House on Prescot<\/a> Road this morning, August 15.<\/p>\n The graffiti, which police said “is wrong in the assumption of what the building will be turned into”, is being removed by the owner of the building. The site is currently being renovated so NHS staff working at the local hospital can live there<\/a>.<\/p>\n Merseyside Police said they are working<\/a> to identify and bring to justice anyone found responsible<\/a> for committing the hate crime.<\/p>\n Superintendent Chris Ruane, who leads local policing in St Helens<\/a>, said: “We will not tolerate offensive and hateful graffiti being committed in our community and we are carrying out enquiries to find the perpetrators.<\/p>\n \u201cThis kind of behaviour is abhorrent and will not be tolerated. Such offensive graffiti is not only criminal damage, but it spreads hatred in the community. This hateful behaviour is deplorable and does not reflect the views of the community.<\/p>\n \u201cIn addition, the offensive graffiti is wrong in the assumption of what the building will be turned into. The owner has confirmed the building has been approved by the NHS to accommodate staff working at the local hospital \u2013 so it will benefit the community.<\/p>\n \u201cI would appeal to residents or anyone who may have information which could help us find those responsible to come forward.
