IRL, he\u2019s now unveiled a forthcoming <strong>mural featuring figures from Birmingham\u2019s legacy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Set against a black-and-white photograph of 1960s Birmingham, Cold War Steve (real name Christopher Spencer) depicts local musicians like <strong>Mist, Fleur Shore, Dapz on the Map, Lotto Boyzz, Mike Skinner, Preditah, Lady Leshurr and Jaykae<\/strong>\u2014representing genres from bhangra and grime to techno, rap and drum &amp; bass\u2014in his signature style. Plus, legends in other fields like <strong>Joe Lycett, Glynn Purnell and Alison Hammond<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To see this bespoke mural firsthand, you\u2019ll have to head down to <strong>Birmingham\u2019s new 9,000 sq ft food hall<\/strong>, where it will be permanently displayed at the heart of the venue. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/secretbirmingham.com\/society-birmingham-food-hall\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretbirmingham.com\/society-birmingham-food-hall\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_internal\">Society<\/a> <\/strong>is set to open its doors in One Colmore Square on Friday, September 5, bringing together five independent kitchens, a taproom, and a dedicated cocktail bar under one roof.<\/p>\n<p>Cold War Steve said, \u201cI\u2019ve really enjoyed working on something special for Society. It\u2019s great to collaborate with new businesses joining the city and I love the idea of the mural being part of such a social space. As a new and very inclusive venue I wanted the artwork to shine a light on Birmingham\u2019s younger, more diverse cultural greats and the resulting piece explodes with the colour of multicultural splendour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <strong>What is Society Birmingham?<\/strong> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16028\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Copyof1Y1A9158_4000px.jpg\" alt=\"Society food hall\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/>Credit: Society <\/p>\n<p>Described as \u201cmore than just a food hall\u201d, epeect Society Birmingham to be your new favourite hangout\u2014whether it\u2019s for weekday lunches, post-work drinks or weekend feasts. Set to host a mix of <strong>street food, craft beer, and DJs<\/strong>, the stripped-back community space has room for over <strong>350 guests<\/strong>, too.<\/p>\n<p>The first food traders, including: Birmingham\u2019s Japanese \u2018sando\u2019 shop, <strong>Shokupan<\/strong>; traditional Neapolitan-style pizzeria, <strong>Amore Pizza<\/strong>; dry-aged smash burgers and loaded fries from <strong>Slap &amp; Pickle<\/strong>; and <strong>Manzoku<\/strong>, serving pan-Asian street food-style dishes like katsu curry and Korean fried chicken wings.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Society bar will be the centrepiece within the space, where guests can expect one of \u201cthe largest selection of beers in the city\u201d with<strong> thirty-six lines of the world\u2019s best craft beer<\/strong>, including local breweries like Attic and Glasshouse. Plus, low-intervention and natural wines, as well as classic and in\u2013house cocktails.<\/p>\n<p>Nick Gregory, co-founder of Society, said: \u201cSociety isn\u2019t just about incredible food and drink \u2013 it\u2019s about a whole experience, including music and culture, and it\u2019s about reflecting the cities we\u2019re part of.
