{"id":34714,"date":"2025-04-20T04:49:14","date_gmt":"2025-04-20T04:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/34714\/"},"modified":"2025-04-20T04:49:14","modified_gmt":"2025-04-20T04:49:14","slug":"wrexhams-league-one-promotion-fate-decided-by-supercomputer-after-bristol-rovers-draw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/34714\/","title":{"rendered":"Wrexham\u2019s League One promotion fate decided by supercomputer after Bristol Rovers draw"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Wrexham saw their promotion hopes take a blow following their meeting with Bristol Rovers on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prior to the latest round of League One fixtures getting underway, Wycombe Wanderers fans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrexhaminsider.com\/news\/wycombe-wanderers-fans-send-hopeful-message-to-rob-mcelhenney-wrexham-supporters-completely-dread-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sent a message to Rob McElhenney<\/a> regarding the promotion race.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairboys have been the Red Dragons\u2019 closest rivals in the battle for second, and April 18 was a great day for them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrexhaminsider.com\/club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wrexham<\/a> have been leading the charge to join Birmingham City as the two teams that secure automatic promotion from the top-flight this campaign.<\/p>\n<p>However, with Wycombe now on a three-game winning streak, it is Mike Dodds\u2019 men who are in the driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrexhaminsider.com\/match\/rob-mcelhenney-watches-matty-james-rescue-key-point-vs-bristol-rovers-as-five-wrexham-stars-get-6-10\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wrexham drew 1-1 with Bristol Rovers<\/a> on Friday, while Wycombe beat Bolton Wanderers 1-0, reclaiming second place for the first time in several weeks.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/GettyImages-2210191688-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by Robbie Jay Barratt -
