The Gromit sculpture trail won’t be around forever, but buying a \u00a35 ticket will bag someone a 5ft-tall Gromit for their own home. A one-of-a-kind Gromit sculpture is up for grabs through The Grand Appeal raffle.<\/p>\n
This 5ft-tall sculpture is called Treasured Island and is inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson\u2019s classic swashbuckling adventure. He\u2019s been handpainted by Laura Hallett<\/a>, a Bristol-based artist and illustrator, and is sponsored by S&W<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2018Treasured Island\u2019 is spending its summer ashore at St Mary Redcliffe<\/a>, where the seafaring sculpture can be seen in all its glory, until the Gromit Unleashed 3 trail ends on Sunday, August 31. After the sculpture trail ends, he\u2019ll travel to The Greatest Dog Show on Earth<\/a> exhibition at Cribbs Mall<\/a>, where he can be seen alongside the complete cast of Gromit Unleashed 3, from Saturday, September 13 to Sunday, September 28.<\/p>\n Then, the Gromits will move on to auction. The raffle presents an opportunity to own your own without needing to outbid auction attendees.<\/p>\n Tickets to enter the raffle cost just \u00a35, and individuals can purchase up to 20 tickets per person. The raffle will close on Friday, October 3 at 11 am, and the winner will be chosen on the same day.<\/p>\n Nicola Masters, director at The Grand Appeal, comments: \u201cFancy seeing this loveable pooch guarding your treasure? For just \u00a35, you could be the captain who brings Gromit home!<\/p>\n \u201cEach raffle ticket not only puts you in the running for Bristol\u2019s favourite canine sidekick but also helps The Grand Appeal fund vital and life-changing support at Bristol Children\u2019s Hospital and St Michael\u2019s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.\u201d<\/p>\n Gromit Unleashed 3 is still underway, set to conclude on August, 31 but organisers say its impact and success can already be felt across the city. The city and the trail have also become a destination for those beyond Bristol, with tourists and visitors coming to the city, for the sole purpose of experiencing the Gromit Unleashed 3 Trail.<\/p>\n To see the full cast at The Greatest Dog Show on Earth in September, get your tickets from The Grand Appeal site<\/a>, priced at \u00a36 for adults and \u00a34 for children plus booking fees. Created in partnership with Aardman, Gromit Unleashed 3 has taken over the streets of Bristol and the surrounding area this summer, raising funds for The Grand Appeal.<\/p>\n This summer, The Grand Appeal and Aardman celebrate a 30-year partnership of Wallace & Gromit spearheading the charity\u2019s fundraising. The partnership was first conceived in 1995 to help raise the money to build the Bristol Children\u2019s Hospital on Upper Maudlin Street, Bristol.
