\n The Peacock on Seel Street in Liverpool has been reimagined as the Crooked Crown, a rebranded and refurbished pub aiming to bring a fresh take on the classic city centre local.\n<\/p>\n
\n The transformation follows a major revamp by owners Pub Invest Group, Liverpool\u2019s largest independent leisure operator, who expanded the venue by acquiring a former solicitor\u2019s office next door.\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokesman for Pub Invest Group said: “We\u2019re not going to throw the baby out with the bath water.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We\u2019ll still have a key student night on a Tuesday and upstairs will definitely appeal to a younger crowd who want to dance the night away.\n<\/p>\n
\n “But people don\u2019t necessarily want to visit just busy clubs and bars as were the mainstay of nightlife in Liverpool for many years, so we\u2019ve created a pub filled with character and a community vibe, evoking a traditional feel with a bit of a slant.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It won\u2019t take itself too seriously, but the Crooked Crown will be warm and cosy, and the sort of place where staff will get to know who you are and you can just relax, unwind, and enjoy.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Designed to capture the atmosphere of a classic pub with a contemporary twist, the Crooked Crown features dark wood panelling, fireplaces, and a new stone patio area.\n<\/p>\n
\n The extended bar and seating areas aim to offer a comfortable and inviting environment.\n<\/p>\n
\n The venue will serve cask ales, IPAs, and lagers, with a focus on Merseyside breweries.\n<\/p>\n
\n Cocktails remain on the menu, and food will be served tapas-style, offering a playful take on traditional pub fare.\n<\/p>\n
\n Entertainment will include live music, pub quizzes, and regular weekly events.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Crooked Crown hopes to attract a broad audience, including musicians, creatives, professionals, and students who remember its previous life as a friendly, affordable night out.\n<\/p>\n
