Everton are considering making a bid for Tyrese Campbell, which could lead to issues for Sheffield United\u2019s board.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Toffees have been busy in the transfer market this summer, but still look a bit short up front after releasing Dominic Calvert-Lewin<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Campbell<\/a> scored 11 goals for Sheffield United last year, and it\u2019s believed he would provide exciting competition to Thierno Barry and Beto at the head of Everton\u2019s attack. <\/p>\n

Everton have been monitoring the 25-year-old striker for a while. He is the son of the former Everton striker Kevin Campbell, and it\u2019s thought he love to move to Merseyside for that reason.<\/p>\n

Now, it is being reported that they will make a substantial offer to try and tempt him away from Bramall Lane.<\/p>\n

Everton\u2019s interest in Campbell has delighted fans<\/a> and those associated with the club.<\/p>\n

However, Football League expert Don Goodman<\/a> has warned that Sheffield United should think twice about letting him go amid likely fan backlash.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Football League World<\/a>, he explained: \u201cI think there would be absolute uproar among the fans if Sheffield United sold Tyrese Campbell<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re Sheffield United in the Championship and you have ambitions of getting into the top two, which I should imagine they have, then I don\u2019t think that is a transfer that you could afford to sanction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, it\u2019s not as if fan unrest has ever stopped a Football League club from cashing in on a star player before.<\/p>\n

In fact, Everton<\/a> signed Calvert-Lewin for a bargain \u00a31.5million back in 2016, while the Blades were languishing in League One.<\/p>\n

Everton had a slow start to the transfer window, but things are starting to take shape for David Moyes ahead of their opening Premier League fixtures against Leeds on Monday. <\/p>\n

Moyes had previously admitted he was \u201cdesperate\u201d to sign new players, but since then he has: <\/p>\n

In the eyes of many, a proven Premier League striker could be the missing piece of the puzzle that propels Everton into European contention.<\/p>\n

Is Campbell that proven striker? Not exactly.<\/p>\n

The former Stoke City man took a while to adapt to the Championship. His return of 11 goals for the Blades last season is his highest ever tally. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s a naturally gifted forward, one of the strongest in the Championship on his day, although he has been plagued by fitness issues.<\/p>\n

It would be a gamble to make a huge bid for him, but seemingly one that Moyes is willing to take. <\/p>\n
