Chris Davies has confirmed Alex Cochrane picked up an injury in Birmingham City<\/a>\u2019s 2-1 win at Blackburn.<\/p>\n Blues trailed 1-0 after Todd Cantwell put Rovers in front early in the second half. But a Jay Stansfield penalty as the game ticked past the 90 levelled the scores, then Lyndon Dykes pounced for a winner eight minutes into added time.<\/a><\/p>\n Ethan Laird won the spot kick, with a surging run into the box, having replaced Cochrane at left back at half time.<\/p>\n Blues were already looking recruit a challenger for Cochrane as the transfer window enters its final fortnight.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHe’s got a slight knock,\u201d Davies said. \u201cHe’s just felt something there which is unusual because Alex has been an ever present.<\/p>\n \u201cBut he’s played a lot of football, so we’ll have to see how he is tomorrow.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are looking in that position. We do need two left backs so definitely cover and competition for Alex.<\/p>\n \u201cThat won’t change it too much just by nature we’ve only got two weeks to go, so it’s something we’ve been looking at doing.<\/p>\n \u201cNothing’s imminent in the next day or so from my understanding, but there’s definite work to do, no doubt we need the depth.<\/p>\n \u201cWe need a few more players just to give us what we need depth wise and quality wise for the season ahead.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s a long old road we’ve got ahead of us and we’re working hard on that, we communicate a lot, myself and the owner and Craig (Gardner), and we’re always talking about what exactly we need and working hard behind the scenes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt just depends how it all falls, but there’s not like loads that we need to bring in, but we need a few more just to finish off the squad.\u201d<\/p>\n What do Blues need to do in the transfer window?
