the country were &#8220;unjustified&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/tag\/france\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:France;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">France<\/a>&#8216;s foreign ministry said Saturday that it was in talks with <a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/tag\/mali\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Mali;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">Mali<\/a> over the arrest of a Frenchman accused of working with intelligence services to &#8220;destabilise&#8221; the country, calling the claims &#8220;unjustified&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Discussions are underway to clear up any misunderstanding&#8221; and obtain the &#8220;immediate release&#8221; of the French embassy employee in Bamako, the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Mali authorities said Thursday that the French national had been arrested on suspicion of working for the French intelligence services, and accused &#8220;foreign states&#8221;
