Cust passed his check, returning to the field late on, with Watts’ status to be determined.

Speaking post-match, Cartwright said on Pryce’s injury: “We don’t really know (the extent). He’s got a foot problem, so it’s not his hamstring. We’re hopeful it’s not too bad, but we’d only be guessing at the moment.”

On Asiata, who was outstanding before leaving the field, Cartwright continued: “Johnny has just got a calmness about him. He’s very organised and he’s clear in his thoughts and relays that to the people around him. He just makes everyone’s job that little bit easier.

“We’re going to have to check, but it doesn’t look good. It’s his hammy that he hurt, the original hammy; he’s tweaked it, but I’d only be guessing as to the severity.”

Hull lost both Cust and Watts near the end of the game, with Cust passing his HIA and Watts not as of yet tested.

“Cade passed,” Cartwright explained. “But because of when Liam came off, he wasn’t tested. It didn’t look good, but I don’t know because I haven’t spoken to anyone yet. We’ll let the doctors do their stuff and talk about that on Monday.”

Elsewhere, Hull had no further injuries to report from Saturday evening, with Cartwright confirming: “Hopefully, we’re okay. There were no injury concerns, as in people coming off the field, but it was a fast game with the ball in play a lot, so I imagine there’ll be some sore bodies.”

And on Aidan Sezer, Cartwright confirmed the half-back and club captain was precautionarily left out of the side and will return to action against St Helens on Friday night.

“Aidan would have played this week if we thought we had to win every single game,” Cartwright added. “But we thought he’d be better next week, which he will be. He trained today and he told me he’s fine.”

Hull FC did it tough against Leigh. 21:03, 16 Aug 2025Updated 21:06, 16 Aug 2025 Hull FC’s Will…

[4102
123841,115424,123842,117578,4151,6531,79,16,15,42427
0":"post-350148","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-rugby","8":"tag-aidan-sezer","9":"tag-hull-fc","10":"tag-john-asiata","11":"tag-john-cartwright","12":"tag-rugby","13":"tag-rugby-league","14":"tag-sports","15":"tag-uk","16":"tag-united-kingdom","17":"tag-will-pryce
["GET
