The most sought-after postcodes in Greater Manchester<\/a> where house prices <\/a>are climbing have now been revealed. The average house price in the UK rose by more than \u00a31,000 in July, according to Halifax.<\/p>\n Across the UK, the average property<\/a> value in July was \u00a3298,237, up from \u00a3297,157 in June, which is the biggest monthly increase since the start of this year.<\/p>\n Prices are rising all across the UK for the first time in two years as the market continues to pick up, surveyors have reported.<\/p>\n Whilst the national average remains close to a record high, house prices vary widely across the country depending on a number of factors such as location and property type.<\/p>\n Sign up to our Manchester property newsletter <\/strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Across Greater Manchester, there are several areas where house prices have risen by a large amount in the last year.<\/p>\n If prices are going up in a specific area, this usually shows that demand for properties is outweighing supply as the area is becoming more sought-after.<\/p>\n Our exclusive analysis of the latest Land Registry data has now revealed Greater Manchester<\/a>‘s top five postcode areas where house prices are climbing the most.<\/p>\n According to the data, house prices in each of these locations have risen by more than 10 percent over the last year:<\/p>\n M7 – Higher Broughton, Salford Higher Broughton is currently the region’s property hotspot, with house prices having soared by 18 percent in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n The average price you can now expect to pay for a property in the Salford<\/a> suburb is \u00a3308,679.<\/p>\n The majority of properties sold in Higher Broughton during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of \u00a3235,639, according to Rightmove’s latest data.<\/p>\n Semi-detached properties sold for an average of \u00a3504,800, with terraced properties fetching \u00a3289,216.<\/p>\n WN1 – Haigh, Wigan House prices in Haigh, Wigan<\/a> have risen by 17.7 percent in the last year, taking the average price of a property up to \u00a3215,781.<\/p>\n Rightmove’s latest data from August says that over the last year, the majority of homes sold in Haigh were detached properties, selling for an average price of \u00a3819,959.<\/p>\n You can expect to pay around \u00a3302,483 for the average semi-detached home, whilst terraced properties will cost you around \u00a3193,333.<\/p>\n M46 – Atherton, Wigan Atherton in Wigan currently has an average house price of \u00a3208,575, which has gone up by 16.1 percent in the last year.<\/p>\n Rightmove’s latest data says that the majority of properties sold in the Wigan town in the last 12 months were terraced properties, selling for an average price of \u00a3152,118.<\/p>\n Semi-detached properties sold for an average of \u00a3213,186, whilst detached properties cost around \u00a3339,284.<\/p>\n M16 – Firswood, Trafford In Firswood, house prices have risen by 12.8 percent over the last year, taking the average property price up to \u00a3279,144.<\/p>\n The most common types of properties sold in the Stretford<\/a> suburb were semi-detached properties, which had an average price of \u00a3437,458, according to Rightmove.<\/p>\n Terraced properties sold for an average of \u00a3527,500, with flats fetching \u00a3375,000.<\/p>\n M14 – Fallowfield, Manchester![](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1_ABM_1637.jpg\")
