The average house price in the UK rose by more than \u00a31,000 in July, according to Halifax.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Across the UK, the average<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/news\/property\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> property<\/a> value in July was \u00a3298,237, up from \u00a3297,157 in June, which is the biggest monthly increase since the start of this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Prices are rising all across the UK for the first time in two years as the market continues to pick up, surveyors have reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Whilst the national average remains close to a record high, house prices vary widely across the country depending on a number of factors such as location and property type.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Sign up to our Manchester property newsletter <\/strong><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/newsletter-preference-centre\/?view=Solus&amp;mailingListId=bc20c6fc-2915-490b-ac8d-88931b38cffd&amp;utm_source=solusarticle\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">here<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Across Greater Manchester, there are several areas where house prices have risen by a large amount in the last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">If prices are going up in a specific area, this usually shows that demand for properties is outweighing supply as the area is becoming more sought-after.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Our exclusive analysis of the latest Land Registry data has now revealed <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/news\/greater-manchester-news\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Greater Manchester<\/a>&#8216;s top five postcode areas where house prices are climbing the most.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">According to the data, house prices in each of these locations have risen by more than 10 percent over the last year:<\/p>\n<p>M7 &#8211; Higher Broughton, Salford<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1_ABM_1637.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>House prices are rising in Higher Broughton(Image: ABNM Photography)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Higher Broughton is currently the region&#8217;s property hotspot, with house prices having soared by 18 percent in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The average price you can now expect to pay for a property in the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/salford\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Salford<\/a> suburb is \u00a3308,679.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The majority of properties sold in Higher Broughton during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of \u00a3235,639, according to Rightmove&#8217;s latest data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Semi-detached properties sold for an average of \u00a3504,800, with terraced properties fetching \u00a3289,216.<\/p>\n<p>WN1 &#8211; Haigh, Wigan<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/3_HAIGH_VILLAGE_WIGAN_AREA_00006jpgh.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>House prices have risen in Haigh in Wigan (Image: ASP)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">House prices in Haigh, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/wigan\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wigan<\/a> have risen by 17.7 percent in the last year, taking the average price of a property up to \u00a3215,781.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Rightmove&#8217;s latest data from August says that over the last year, the majority of homes sold in Haigh were detached properties, selling for an average price of \u00a3819,959.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">You can expect to pay around \u00a3302,483 for the average semi-detached home, whilst terraced properties will cost you around \u00a3193,333.<\/p>\n<p>M46 &#8211; Atherton, Wigan<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1_VCP_MEN_27102020_atherton_005JPG.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Property prices are going up in Atherton(Image: Vincent Cole Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Atherton in Wigan currently has an average house price of \u00a3208,575, which has gone up by 16.1 percent in the last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Rightmove&#8217;s latest data says that the majority of properties sold in the Wigan town in the last 12 months were terraced properties, selling for an average price of \u00a3152,118.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Semi-detached properties sold for an average of \u00a3213,186, whilst detached properties cost around \u00a3339,284.<\/p>\n<p>M16 &#8211; Firswood, Trafford<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_Firswood-google-maps.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>House prices are rising in Firswood, Stretford(Image: Google Maps)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">In Firswood, house prices have risen by 12.8 percent over the last year, taking the average property price up to \u00a3279,144.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The most common types of properties sold in the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/stretford\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Stretford<\/a> suburb were semi-detached properties, which had an average price of \u00a3437,458, according to Rightmove.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Terraced properties sold for an average of \u00a3527,500, with flats fetching \u00a3375,000.<\/p>\n<p>M14 &#8211;
