Chris Davies felt his side Birmingham City side deserved their late comeback against Rovers at Ewood Park.<\/p>\n
The Midlands club had trailed after Todd Cantwell\u2019s volley but scored twice in stoppage time to turn the contest on its head.<\/p>\n

Davies hailed his side’s\u00a0character in a “very difficult situation” after going 1-0 down on the road.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was an excellent win,\u201d he said after the final whistle.\u00a0\u201cLast minute winners are always something to cherish and savour,\u00a0especially in front of 7,000 travelling fans.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s that intangible character side that is so important in football.\u00a0We have got belief\u00a0and we\u2019ve shown in the early games that we’ve competed really well.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we have been the better team in all the three games\u00a0that we’ve had, league and cup, this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut a goal down away from home at Blackburn Rovers – very, very difficult situation – and then you can lose your head or discipline\u00a0or start doing different things.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I love is we just look like us.\u00a0We had it in the week [against Sheffield United] with what we felt was an unjust goal against us.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut we just got back to us, moved the ball quickly,\u00a0positions were there with real intent,\u00a0and we deserved to win this game.\u201d<\/p>\n
The equaliser came from the penalty spot after Sidnei\u00a0Tavares was judged to have tripped Ethan Laird in the box.<\/p>\n
When asked if it was the right call, Davies insisted: \u201cAbsolutely, 100 per cent.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think when Ethan is driving at that speed – he sort of dropped his shoulder\u00a0and took his touch in the side – because he’s right-footed as well,\u00a0if he doesn’t sort of foul him then he could shoot or lay the ball off to someone.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo definitely, and I’m really pleased for Ethan because he had to come in to left-back \u2013 very unnatural position for him – but he handled it so well up against the winger who is pretty decent. And yeah, a definite penalty.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Birmingham boss was also quizzed about an incident involving Jay Stansfield, who slotted home the equaliser.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said someone had thrown something onto his head so I’m not sure what all that was about, but I don\u2019t want to see any of that,\u201d Davies explained.<\/p>\n
