Swansea City head coach Alan Sheehan still wants to make more signings before the transfer window closes, as the club closes in on a ninth summer recruit.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Swans are close to completing the permanent signing of Marko Stamenic from Nottingham Forest.<\/a><\/p>\n

But with 14 players leaving since last season, Swansea need to strengthen their squad further, particularly in attack.<\/p>\n

They picked up their first win of the Championship season against Sheffield United<\/a> on Saturday, but were wasteful in front of goal.<\/p>\n

Having scored only 51 goals in 46 league games last season, the Swans’ priority is to sign a new striker.<\/p>\n

“We need a couple more [players] in, obviously. Everybody knows that,” said Sheehan.<\/p>\n

“But when you’re trying to focus on the team and pick a team for this, you’re not sure if something will be done, or whether it’s two weeks away or a one week away.<\/p>\n
