Let\u2019s take a look at their half term report\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Best finish<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Esteban Ocon \u2013 5th in China<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Following a challenging weekend at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix \u2013 in which the team qualified at the back of the grid \u2013 <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/teams\/haas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Haas<\/a> bounced back in style one week later in China, with the squad scoring their first double points result of the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\"><a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/drivers\/esteban-ocon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ocon<\/a> and <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/drivers\/oliver-bearman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bearman<\/a> initially crossed the line in seventh and 10th respectively but were later promoted by two positions each following the <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/ferrari-issue-statement-after-leclerc-and-hamilton-are-disqualified-in-china.4eAwebgnai6mwxRHkQmk0R\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disqualifications<\/a> of Ferrari\u2019s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, handing them a P5 and a P8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">While other points finishes have followed, the squad have yet to match that fifth place achieved by Ocon, having struggled to find a consistent level of performance during the first half of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifying head-to-head<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Ocon 8-6 Bearman<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">The more experienced Ocon has beaten his rookie team mate in Qualifying on eight occasions, which included a season-best P8 on the grid at Monaco.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">This position was initially matched by Bearman at Silverstone, but a <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/it-sucks-bearman-laments-silly-dumb-error-as-penalty-undoes-strong-british.6VUvRnvOyc1rXjBRueQVLB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10-place penalty for an FP3 red flag infringement<\/a> dropped the Briton down to P18, a punishment that he also received <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/breaking-bearman-handed-sizeable-monaco-gp-grid-penalty-after-red-flag.5F24X3VdlAUVm4iCTEqtj3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">during the Monaco weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Race head-to-head<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Ocon 9-5 Bearman<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Ocon has also just had the edge over Bearman in race trim, the Frenchman crossing the line ahead at nine Grands Prix. Bearman, however, faced slightly worse luck in terms of retirements, having twice recorded a DNF owing to a mechanical issue in comparison to only one non-finish for Ocon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Of the team\u2019s current total of 35 points, Ocon is responsible for 27, putting him in 10th place of the <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/results\/2025\/drivers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drivers\u2019 Standings<\/a>, while Bearman has scored eight points in 19th place.<\/p>\n<p>Best moment<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">That aforementioned double points haul in Shanghai was a promising moment for the team, with it highlighting that there was not only pace to unlock in the VF-25 but that they could also master solid strategy calls, after an alternate plan for Bearman saw him climb up from P17 on the grid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Given the troubles of Australia, Ocon hailed the outcome one week on as an <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/ocon-and-bearman-hail-amazing-haas-turnaround-after-double-points-haul-in.5kQeZxKicQPvupbfDqOKAh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201camazing turnaround\u201d<\/a>, while Bearman admitted that he felt \u201creally proud\u201d of the team for taking such a step forwards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Other highlights during the season included further double points finishes, including at <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/haas-drivers-really-proud-of-double-points-finish-in-bahrain-as-ocon-pleased.47bJp1eb6DKPnNzwqtAl93\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Round 4 in Bahrain<\/a> as well as <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/its-no-mean-feat-ocon-and-bearman-super-pleased-with-haas-double-points-in.6Q4Qnkc0bCcNTsIvkTpP6w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the Sprint at the Belgian Grand Prix<\/a> more recently.<\/p>\n<p>Worst moment<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Haas experienced <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/haas-duo-dejected-after-imola-as-bearman-explains-costly-issue-and-ocon.68BST8qG7iUucIS7euUV7d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a tricky run of point-less races<\/a> between Saudi Arabia and Imola, while the squad also endured a challenging moment in the British Grand Prix when Ocon and Bearman collided, on a day where Ocon felt that both drivers <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/we-deserved-more-ocon-reflects-on-collision-with-bearman-in-extremely.6yAD2h5k7Y7JJMpQAW0Avu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cdeserved to be in the points\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">But perhaps their toughest moment of all was facing such a nightmarish start straight out of the blocks in Australia, with Bearman acknowledging that not being in the fight for points had come as an <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/lack-of-pace-an-unwelcome-surprise-for-bearman-and-ocon-as-haas-endure.1rNObBEmcy6OT1TCZBB8iZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cunwelcome surprise\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">It had also proved to be a shock to Team Principal <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/tags\/ayao-komatsu.6eCWtAhQTs0Kd4oljQw6hP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ayao Komatsu<\/a>, who later conceded that he \u201cfelt sick\u201d at how far off the pace the car was, leading to a concerted effort to fix the issue as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Going forward<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">While there have been positive moments for Haas, their form has been somewhat unpredictable from one weekend to the next \u2013 and, given how fine the margins are in the midfield, developing more consistency will be a key aim going forwards if they are to make gains from P9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">As Ocon <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/ocon-says-haas-need-consistency-after-difficult-hungary-weekend-as-bearman.5r6rV8sjtlEzTFpdsWkGok\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">summarised ahead of the summer break<\/a>: \u201cLooking at this first half, I think there are some positives, definitely. We\u2019ve scored a decent amount of points, but we are not consistent enough and where we want to be every single time. We\u2019ll give it everything for the next half.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cIf you look at Spa, we had mega performance, it was a great weekend. We are not there every single weekend, and this is where we need to get the consistency together. We are working on that.
