{"id":351389,"date":"2025-08-17T10:20:23","date_gmt":"2025-08-17T10:20:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/351389\/"},"modified":"2025-08-17T10:20:23","modified_gmt":"2025-08-17T10:20:23","slug":"pints-for-under-4-in-ni-town-with-cheapest-average-prices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/351389\/","title":{"rendered":"Pints for under \u00a34 in NI town with cheapest average prices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new &#8216;pint report&#8217; is based on figures from the Numbeo database and shows vast regional differences in average pint prices<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_GettyImages-2196758086.jpg\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>We&#8217;re famous for our great pubs(Image: Bryn Colton\/ GETTY)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Pints can be had for under \u00a34 in the Northern Ireland town with the cheapest average prices for a beverage, a new report has claimed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/enniskillen\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Enniskillen<\/a> ranks as the town with the cheapest average price of a pint with the new report putting it at just \u00a33.80, followed by Derry at \u00a34.25.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The cheaper prices are in stark contrast with the cost of a pint elsewhere in Northern Ireland, with <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/all-about\/lisburn\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Lisburn<\/a> ranking in a similar analysis back in April this year as the most expensive place to order a beer in the entire UK &#8211; ahead even of cities like London with a notoriously high cost-of-living.<\/p>\n<p>READ MORE: <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/whats-on\/food-drink-news\/ni-city-home-most-expensive-31535292\" data-tmdatatrack=\"read-more\" data-tmdatatrack-articleid=\"31535292\" data-tmdatatrack-source=\"editorial\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The NI city home to the &#8216;most expensive pint in UK&#8217; and it&#8217;s not Belfast<\/a>READ MORE: <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.belfastlive.co.uk\/news\/northern-ireland\/ni-charities-unite-reject-not-31889831\" data-tmdatatrack=\"read-more\" data-tmdatatrack-articleid=\"31889831\" data-tmdatatrack-source=\"editorial\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NI charities unite to reject &#8216;not fit for purpose&#8217; Anti-Poverty Strategy<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Belfast didn&#8217;t fare much better in that analysis, from the business comparison service Bionic that was based on figures from Statista and the Office for National Statistics, with an average price of \u00a36 &#8211; just shy of the \u00a36.10 average in Lisburn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">While the prices charged by pubs in the likes of Enniskillen and Derry are significantly cheaper than those you might find in Belfast or Lisburn, the new data shows the best prices on offer in Northern Ireland are still far removed from the bargain pints on offer in some locations elsewhere in the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A new report compiled for the pub bench and outdoor furniture firm MG Timber shows that Arun in West Sussex is the most affordable location in the UK with a pint of beer costing just \u00a32 on average.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Burnley in Lancashire is listed with an average price of \u00a32.50, and Llandudno in Wales at \u00a32.71.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The new report, published by the OMS marketing firm and based on figures drawn from the Numbeo database, found that some locations have now surpassed the \u00a36.10 average found in Lisburn earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;As the cost of living continues to be a hot topic across the UK, one of the simplest pleasures, enjoying a pint at your local pub, is feeling the impact,&#8221; the report states.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;While some areas are still clinging to pre-inflation prices, others are now charging upwards of \u00a37 for a single drink.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;In response to growing public interest in price disparities across the country, we have teamed up with MG Timber, a UK manufacturer of handcrafted pub benches and outdoor furniture, to launch the Pint Report. The report ranks the cheapest and most expensive towns and cities to buy a pint of beer, revealing striking regional differences in cost.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It continues: &#8220;Based on data sourced from Numbeo in May 2025, the report doesn\u2019t just highlight the most affordable places to grab a drink, it also gives valuable insight into the wider affordability of dining out, with average prices for a three-course meal for two also included for added context.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;So, whether you\u2019re planning a night out or simply curious about how your local compares to the rest of the UK, the Pint Report offers a snapshot of where your money stretches the furthest and where it doesn\u2019t.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Witney, located in the otherwise Oxfordshire countryside, leads the list at a steep \u00a37 a pint, over three times the price found in Arun.
