Now, the family is <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/prince-william-kate-middleton-relocating-family-later-this-year-11792209\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">preparing to relocate to Forest Lodge later this year<\/a> \u2014 and two nearby households have since departed in preparation, PEOPLE can confirm.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The families were asked to leave cottages located near the eight-bedroom Windsor Great Park property earlier this summer, according to a new report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/royals\/article-15007329\/william-kate-forever-home-families-leave-cottages.html\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The cottages were previously converted from stables on the property and rented out by the Crown Estate, per the outlet.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> PEOPLE understands that there have been no eviction notices, and the tenants have since moved to similar or better housing within the Great Park, with everyone remaining in Crown Estate properties.<\/p>\n<p> Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, pictured in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>English Heritage\/Heritage Images\/Getty<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_13-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The tenants &#8220;were not expecting it,\u201d a source told the Daily Mail. \u201cThose houses are very close to the lodge, so they&#8217;re not going to want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> The outlet reported that new shrubs and privacy screens have been added at Forest Lodge in anticipation of the Prince and Princess of Wales\u2019 move.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Forest Lodge is also undergoing some minor renovations ahead of the family\u2019s move, which Kate and William are paying for themselves.
