\n\tBLACKPINK<\/a> fittingly honored the Spice Girls<\/a> during the closing night of their two-day run at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium.<\/p>\n

\n\tOver the weekend, the global K-pop sensations made their long-awaited return to London<\/a> with the Deadline World Tour, marking their first visit since headlining a sold-out BST Hyde Park show in 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a nostalgic nod to the British pop legends, BLACKPINK capped off their Wembley stint on Saturday (Aug. 16) with a surprise performance of the Spice Girls\u2019 debut single \u201cWannabe.\u201d The song, which spent four weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997, had the crowd singing along as the group put their own spin on the iconic \u201990s hit. \n\tThis wasn\u2019t the first time JENNIE, LISA, JISOO and ROS\u00c9 took on \u201cWannabe.\u201d They previously performed the iconic track<\/a> during a \u201cCarpool Karaoke\u201d segment with James Corden on The Late Late Show in 2023. During the ride, LISA shared that she was obsessed with the Spice Girls growing up, while JENNIE said she admired how each member had her own distinct personality. Corden even gave the BLACKPINK members their own \u201cSpice\u201d names, with ROS\u00c9 becoming \u201cAussie Pink,\u201d LISA as \u201cBoss Pink,\u201d JENNIE as \u201cShy Pink\u201d and JISOO dubbed \u201cNail Pink.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Saturday, the Wembley crowd got a surprise encore when BLACKPINK returned to the stage to perform \u201cWannabe,\u201d dancing and singing together to close out their second and final night in London.<\/p>\n

\n\tFittingly, BLACKPINK\u2019s latest single \u201cJump\u201d includes the line \u201cspice up your life,\u201d a clear reference to the opening track on the Spice Girls\u2019 1997 album, Spiceworld. Produced by Diplo, \u201cJump\u201d debuted at No. 1<\/a> on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts in late July.<\/p>\n
