Being a royal can be complicated, even as they live a pretty privileged life. And one of the biggest complications has to do with knowing who to trust. Prince William<\/a> used to be able to count on his brother, Prince Harry<\/a>, with whom he was very close growing up. But with the relationship between the two strained, there\u2019s a question of who William<\/a> is confiding in these days.<\/p>\n

The answer, it seems, is that he\u2019s still keeping it in the family. During an episode of the podcast\u00a0Dynasty: The Royal Family\u2019s Most Challenging Year,\u00a0via\u00a0Daily Mail<\/a>, royal expert Katie Nicholl revealed that Prince William has a \u201creally wonderful\u201d relationship with Kate Middleton\u2019s father<\/a>, Michael Middleton, and will often lean on him during difficult times.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know they\u00a0have a close relationship, and that William will often turn to Michael for advice,\u201d she said. \u201cHe has a great sense of humor, and I think he\u2019s someone who is a cool head in a crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Middleton<\/a> family is known for being very tight-knit, and that has grown to include William. \u201cThey would always stick together. They were a very tight unit, and they\u2019re still the same today,\u201d Nicholl said, while her co-host, Erin Vanderhoof, explained that the Middletons have given William a sense of \u201cnormalcy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicholl also spoke about how the father-of-the-bride speech during Prince William and Kate Middleton\u2019s wedding gave a glimpse at their relationship. \u201cI always remember his father-of-the-bride speech on the wedding day and how he had everyone at the tables just in fits of laughter when he was recounting the story of William, who was training at the time as a helicopter pilot, buzzing in on the Middleton family home and sweeping in on his helicopter,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, as a father, thinking, \u2018What on earth is going on here?\u2019 while simultaneously realizing this was the future king of England really courting his daughter in a pretty spectacular way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reports of their close relationship come as Fox News Digital<\/a> reported that William received a warning from Charles about married life. \u201c[His father] said, \u2018Look, William, there\u2019s nothing more important than your family,\u2019\u201d Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine and author of\u00a0\u201cMy Mother and I,\u201d\u00a0told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Don\u2019t make the mistakes that I made,\u2019\u201d Seward says Charles told William. \u201cI just did duty, duty, duty. I neglected my marriage, and look what happened.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Recent reports about their relationship indicated there might be some friction between the two, as King Charles is reportedly ready to reconcile with his youngest son, Prince Harry, while Prince William isn\u2019t too convinced this is a great idea. King Charles is also reportedly not happy over\u00a0Prince William\u00a0and Kate Middleton\u2019s plans to relocate from Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate to Fort Belvedere in Windsor Great Park.<\/p>\n

Rob Shuter\u2019s\u00a0#ShuterScoop<\/a>\u00a0recently claimed that the king is \u201cfuming\u201d over how much the move would cost, particularly considering Prince William and Kate Middleton only moved to Adelaide Cottage in 2022. Fort Belvedere will reportedly \u201ctake millions to renovate,\u201d and \u201cCharles sees it as an unnecessary extravagance.\u201d<\/p>\n

One thing is for sure: whether William and Charles\u2019 relationship is doing well or not, William always has his father-in-law to lean on.<\/p>\n
