Aston Villa midfielder Leander Dendoncker is set to join Real Oviedo on a free transfer.<\/p>\n

The final details of the move have been agreed, and the Belgian<\/a> is now expected to complete the switch.<\/p>\n

Villa have been trying to move Dendoncker<\/a> out of Unai Emery\u2019s<\/a> squad for some time, and are finally going to do so – even though they will not receive a fee.<\/p>\n

Had Villa not agreed to a free transfer, the only other way to stop paying Dendoncker’s weekly wages would have been a mutual termination of his contract.<\/p>\n

Removing the midfielder’s salary from the books will still be beneficial for Villa, although the club remains restricted in the transfer market with only two weeks left in the window.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Jacob Ramsey\u2019s \u00a339 million move to Newcastle United was completed on Sunday, with a further \u00a35 million in potential add-ons included in the deal.<\/p>\n

In addition, Leon Bailey is edging closer to a season-long loan move to AS Roma, with the Italian side expected to secure an option to buy the winger.<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle for the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n
