James Bond<\/a> star Pierce Brosnan has shared his advice for the next 007, describing it as a ‘life-changing’ role.<\/p>\n

The long-running franchise has seen seven iterations of the iconic secret agent, including Brosnan who played the character from 1994-2004. <\/p>\n

His successor, Daniel Craig, bowed out of the role in 2021, after starring in No Time to Die. Since then, speculation about who will be the next James Bond has been rife, with stars such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill and Theo James tipped to be in the running. <\/p>\n

Speaking about Craig’s potential replacement, Brosnan told Extra<\/a>: “There are so many great men out there. There’s so many wonderful actors. It’s a magnificent role. Whoever finds the role, it will change their life.”<\/p>\n

Having played the MI6 agent in four movies, the star offered some words of wisdom for the next actor to take on the role. “Be bold. Enjoy it. Know yourself, be strong, go out there and have a great time,” he shared.<\/p>\n

While we may not know the identity of the new James Bond just yet, details regarding the next instalment are slowly being released. <\/p>\n

Earlier this month, it was announced that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight<\/a> would be writing the upcoming movie<\/a>. He will be joined by Dune’s Denis Villeneuve<\/a> who will serve as the director. <\/p>\n

However, with Dune: Messiah currently heading for a December 2026 release, Bond fans will likely have a bit of a wait before filming commences on the next 007 adventure. <\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Brosnan is set to appear in the movie adaptation<\/a> of Richard Osman’s novel The Thursday Murder Club<\/a>, which follows four elderly amateur detectives as they attempt to solve a real-life murder. <\/p>\n

Speaking about what drew him to the project, the star shared: “It’s just the humanity of it. It takes courage to get old, to be yourself. At any age, it really takes courage to live life, and these people are full of vibrancy and they’re full of passion. One wants to live, so that’s what it’s about.”<\/p>\n

The Thursday Murder Club <\/strong>is scheduled in cinemas on 22 August, before coming to Netflix on 28 August.<\/strong><\/p>\n
