BBC Breakfast<\/a> sparked fury from viewers as it was halted for a breaking news segment \u2013 with fans switching off their TVs and demanding \u201cstop wasting my licence fee\u201d. The programme aired segments live from Washington D.C., where US president Donald Trump<\/a> was meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a> and Vladimir Putin<\/a>. Keir Starmer<\/a> is also joining the world leaders in the US to \u201cflesh out the details with other European leaders\u201d.<\/p>\n

Reporters were also live in Kyiv to cover the ongoing war in Ukraine<\/a> as the summit takes place, while political correspondent Joe Pike was live in Westminster to discuss the news. But as BBC<\/a> Monitoring Russian editor Vitaly Shevchenko spoke to viewers via video link, fans were left fuming.<\/p>\n

One wrote: \u201cWhy do you employ so many staff? Aren\u2019t we allowed to see the same person twice? You are wasting my licence fee. He\u2019s told us what we already know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Somebody else penned: \u201cStop with your BS and biased reporting. Two Tier Keir couldn\u2019t negotiate peace between three disgruntled rent boys [\u2026] he\u2019s to diplomacy as you are to the truth,\u201d before demanding \u201c#DefundTheBBC.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

A third viewer grumbled: \u201cBBC<\/a> Breakfast and Sky News must have the same editors, both constantly showing clips of Trump bullying Zelensky in February and both read out verbatim nonsense posted by Trump on Truth Social. No wonder [he] loves UK media.\u201d<\/p>\n

It comes as fears have risen over Trump\u2019s \u2018friendliness\u2019 with Putin<\/a>.
