FC Porto attacker Danny Namaso would be a \u2018really good\u2019 signing for Birmingham<\/a> City, says<\/a> former EFL man Lee Hendrie.<\/p>\n

Birmingham<\/a> City have been linked with a move for the forward, as per Record<\/a>. BCFC have until the deadline on Monday 1st September to conclude any final bits of business.<\/p>\n

Namaso, 24, has been on the books of FC Porto since 2020. He is under contract with the Portuguese giants until June 2028.<\/p>\n

Hendrie has told\u00a0Football League World<\/a>: \u201cObviously, there\u2019s interest in Namaso. He\u2019s a player that\u2019s had a spell at Reading<\/a>, but he\u2019s 24 years of age. He can play in the 10 and can play as a striker. They\u2019ve got a lot of reinforcement in that area, I think, but I know they have been looking for someone who can fit the bill of playing in that 10, who can have that bit more of a creative flair.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think this would be a real big signing for\u00a0Birmingham<\/a> on top of what they\u2019ve bought already. I mean it just shows their intent and where they want to go this season, and that\u2019s to the Premier League. Spending the likes of \u20ac10m on a player, again, their recruitment has been spot on from last season up to now, so a really good signing and, as I say, he can play in a number of positions as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Birmingham<\/a> City linked with Danny Namaso<\/p>\n

Birmingham<\/a>\u00a0City could see Namaso as someone to boost their attacking department. If he joined BCFC, he would give them more competition and depth at the top end of the pitch.<\/p>\n

The Cameroon international, who has two caps under his belt, rose up through the ranks at\u00a0Reading<\/a>. He was a regular for the Royals at various different youth levels before breaking into their first-team.<\/p>\n

He was then snapped up by FC Porto five years ago and initially became a regular for their B team. The Reading-born man has since become a key first-team player and has made 105 appearances in all competitions to date, chipping in with 14 goals.<\/p>\n

Birmingham<\/a> City have the chance to sign more players<\/a> over the next couple of weeks. BCFC have been busy on the recruitment front so far in this window.<\/p>\n

The Blues were promoted from League One last term after storming to the title. They went up along with Wrexham<\/a> and Charlton Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chris Davies\u2019 side<\/a> won 2-1 away at Blackburn Rovers<\/a> over the weekend in dramatic fashion. They have four points on the board from their first two league outings and are back in action on Saturday against Oxford United<\/a>. In the meantime, they have the opportunity to do some more transfer business.<\/p>\n
